June 14, 200719 yr I went and joined Gold's Gym. Im going to apply for recruit school to be a firefighter in August, so I figured I should try to get back in shape. Anybody else a member? Have you been satisfied? You could always go to the Balco Barry Bonds route as long as you don't have a fear of needles - probably would have to get a bigger hat size though.

I don't want to have to walk a mile between exercises when I'm doing supersets. :thumb: I agree, I have a very small gym that is equipped with everything that I need, the one that I go to is in the same office bldg. as my Chiropractor - he is great, not only a Chiropractor but a certified personal trainer, nutritionist, P.T. specialist as well as other certifications as well. I am disabled with Mutiple Sclerosis (advanced - progressive type) and he and his gym and physical therapy program are a God send to me. I know that it must look funny to see a man that has to use a cane or a walker to get around in a gym working out but although I am disabled I refuse to give in or quit. Sorry to get off the subject of this thread, the "gym" subject just made me think of things. Good Luck and :thumb: :thumb: Deuce!

I like having all the equpment I need where I am at LAC in Louisville. Although it is probably bigger than the one you go to, I don't think it is huge by any means. I like running while watching a movie in the Cardio Theater there(even if they rarely pick good movies).

June 14, 200719 yr I think gyms are a waste of money. I personally disagree with you. I find them extremely useful and motivating. On those days where you just don't feel like working out but know you need to, the thought in the back of your mind of "I am paying for it dangit, I had better use it," helps to push you a little. As it is I am there Monday through Friday anyway. I do things there that I couldn't do at home.
June 14, 200719 yr The one opening in Bellevue is going to be the largest one within 7 states. Golds is also building one behind Meyers off of Turfway...I used to belong and went to the one in Erlanger which is really nice. I need to rejoin soon....if you know what I mean?
June 14, 200719 yr Author Dude you could have joined LAC and gone to workout with PepRock! Only reason I didn't is because there is a Gold's five minutes from my house on Preston. Plus my roomie has a memebership there too.

It takes me less than 2 minutes to get to the gym from my house.
