June 11, 200719 yr *I don't think these are necessarily the best performers of their respective instruments, but they are some of my favorites and I thought they would fit well together. Drums- John Bonham. I would consider him the greatest. He packs a ton of power and carried most of Led Zeppelins songs. Not many people can come up with the kinds of beats and grooves he played either. Singer - Freddie Mercury. A ton of power and range. He's got the attitude to be stuck out front as well. Bass - Jack Bruce. I wanted to say Flea, but I think he's too dominant. I think Jack would be able to blend in the fret running bass as well as the rhythm needed to carry the songs. Rhythm Guitar - Keith Richards. Innovative blues-based rhythm and the rock n' roll attitude. Lead Guitar - Slash. By far the most controversial pick here. Jimi is the greatest but he couldn't be contained in a band like this. Slash isn't that great, but he plays that sloppy, blues/rock lead that would fit in well with Keith and Bonham, at least I think.

Lead Guitar - Tom Morello (RATM, Audioslave, the Nightwatchman). Not the most technical but by far one of the most innovative, my personal favorite guitarist of all time. 2nd Lead/Rhythm Guitar - Slash (GNR, Velvet Revolver). Just love this guys sound. Bass - Flea (RHCP). Love his slap bass style of play, and anyone who can rock out in a "sock" is bad enough for me. Drums - John Bonham (Zeppelin). Kashmir. Probably not the most mesh-able of groups, but that's who I would pay anything to see in concert.
