As I said earlier, the Genesis story is simple because the people of Mosaic times were relatively simple. My God is a big god, and I believe that his work of creation was far more complicated than we realize even today. When he opened his hands, the mass that he had created spread throughout the void. God then said, Let mass have gravity, and it did. The mass drew together here and there and began to form spinning orbs. Because of the gravity that God had placed upon the mass, the orbs became denser and denser, building terrible amounts of pressure in their middles. And God said, let there be fusion and the orbs took their masses and began to produce heavier and heavier elements, and heat and light."

Just curious, how do the creationists think too little of God . . .God created something from nothing ... that is a pretty big God ... I am not sure I follow your comment.

In my mind, Creationists want to put their head in the sand where science goes. Science should be a celebration of God, not an attack on Him. Creationists want to believe that Creation is simple because God isn't capable of designing a creation that would last millions of years and be more complicated than we could ever hope to understand.

Seriously, I'm sorry if anyone felt i was talking down to them. And, I am neither a science without faith, nor a faith without science person. I believe the two are intertwined, and the two are not mutually exclusive.

I am not looking down on anyone. I am as much of a sinner then anyone. The one thing I have now is His Grace nad Mercy by asking Jesus in my heart.

I too believe that the Bible is for us to learn and to follow. The problem with being an interpretattionalist is that we as humans change but our God does not. We must interpret on a constant basis. I am not trying to argue. I think that this is theproblem with our society now. We must return to Gods views and not our own.

I think there are people that will live their life the right way, will have their heart filled with the right goodness, will have strived to be the best possible person they could be -- but won't have accepted Jesus as their savior and yet will still be welcomed into Heaven.

Trusting in Jesus Christ and His shed blood is the only way anyone gets to heaven . . . this is true regardless of the denomination. Salvation is not in a denomination it is by Grace through Faith . . . it is a free gift . . . no works are involved at all.

The funny thing about your post is that I went through the 7th grade twice:jump: and yet I fully understand that evolution is not scientific. The "gaps" cannot be overlooked. Darwin couldn't explain them in the 1800's and I cannot find one ounce of irrefutable proof that we evolved from something else. You say there are vast amounts of proof that I've overlooked, please expound,,,enlighten me on where the proof lies.

Because there are no two creation stories. If you are refering to what some call the space or "gap" between chapters one and two I don't find that it exists.

Oh my, but you are totally wrong. Creationists believe that the Bible explains science. Unfortunately fallable humans have twisted the biblical account of creation to fit nicely into their particular world view. They (most scientists who believe in evolution) hate to think that there just might be a Supreme being, an intelligent designer (God), who created this world . . . if they did believe this they would have to give Him all the glory and praise and bow down to worship Him instead of themselves and their humanistic new-age compadres.
