2007 MLB Draft

Hampton was a Red draftee? Or are you saying he was a Johnny?

Correct on CJ.

I thought he came up in the Reds Minor League system but perhaps not. I'm not sure, on St. Johns.

Brohm LOL, If I remember correctly though, I believe the Rockies drafted Michael Vick when was still in school

Brian Brohm was drafted out of High School by the Rockies in 2004.

I'm going to guess that Cowgill comes back to UK.

What was Cowgill's injury this past season? How much higher would he have went if he didn't get injured this past season?

I saw that the Reds drafted Andrew Benes. I'm going to assume that, yes, he's related.

Same here. And they needed a C in the worst way down on the farm...

Saw where they drafted 5 catchers.

He was injured as a Sophomore, recovered as a Junior and returned to baseball as a Senior...

I'm pretty sure this past year would have been his true JR season. He played as a SOPH and was key to UK's success. Sat out all of this year .

I just checked out Lance's blog and the Reds took a pitcher from BYU in the 16th. The guy already told all interested teams he would never play baseball but the Reds decided to take him anyway. Sounds productive.
