Hatteberg is done after this year.

Probably, but Votto is pretty much ready and I say we trade him for anything, while we still can. Might as well get whatever we can for Hatteberg, cause we sure know we aren't going to be world-beaters next year anyways.

C + maybe. I can't give a higher grade until the team actually wins. IF that happens we can give the higher marks to whomever deserves them.

We can surmise all we want but what we thought we were getting in the field has not materialized.

I think Bray will turn out to be good enough to show that WK made a strong move for the Reds.

I think it is more perception than fact when the casual fan looks at that trade. It did seem at the time that "Leatherpants" pulled one over on WK.

It's kind of a guess, but I think he's done a good job. I'd give him a B. I can't go with an A until Cincy contends, but I think he has improved the team and is still in the process of doing so.

 

Time will tell...

On a side note, I really think it's difficult to judge how well a GM has done or is doing when we don't know the fiscal capabilities he has. He may have had a few bigger deals lined up that were shot down by the owner, which goes on the GM...

 

I know it's like that for every team, I'm just saying...
