Rules are rules, it's true, but it's a real shame to see the best series the NBA has going potentially ruined by something like this. Ahh...I think Phoenix will win this series in seven games. A Phoenix vs. Detroit finals would be sweet, IMO...or possibly Chicago...I wouldn't count the Bulls out yet. But, if San Antonio is there, I'll personally watch very little of it. There is nothing exciting about the Spurs.

May 16, 200719 yr Sports Guy... Suddenly, he (Nash) gets body-checked into a press table for no real reason on an especially cheap play. You're standing 20 feet away. Instinctively, you run a few steps toward the guy who did it -- after all, your meal ticket is lying on the court in a crumpled heap -- before remembering that you can't leave your bench. So you go back and watch everything else unfold from there. Twenty-four hours later, you get suspended for Game 5 because your instincts as a teammate kicked in for 1.7 seconds. Think about how dumb this is. What kind of league penalizes someone for reacting like a good teammate after his franchise player just got decked? Imagine you're playing pickup at a park, you're leading a game 10-3, your buddy is driving for the winning layup, and some stranger clotheslines your buddy from behind and knocks him into the metal pole. Do you react? Do you take a couple of steps toward him? I bet you do. For the NBA to pretend it can create a fairy-tale league in which these reactions can be removed from somebody's DNA -- almost like a chemical castration -- I mean, how stupid is that?

It won't happen...but I would love nothing more than for Phoenix to win tonight and the Spurs turn around and win the next 2, that way the Suns fans and Spurs haters won't be whining for the next month. Because if the Spurs win this series, I GUARANTEE they will whine about these suspensions so much my head will spin.

May 17, 200719 yr I'd like to have seen if any of the Spurs players left the bench during all of the comotion. But nice camera work to just see what the NBA wants everone to see. Should be at least 4-5 games for Horry. The NBA is against the Suns.
May 17, 200719 yr I guess we find out how good Nash really is tonight... 19 points, 12 assists, and a close game despite playing 6 players esentially. Considering the competition and who was missing, I'd say Nash looked pretty good last night.:thumb:
