I saw 'Lucky You' tonight after eating at Dan Marino's place (excellent) and the movie was a lot better than I thought it would be. Excellent cast and TONS of professional poker players were used for small parts which I thought was pretty cool. It has a love story in it, a father son story and great poker action. I love Eric Roth's writing as well.

May 17, 200719 yr Well I watched Babel last night and was just blown away. I won't spoil anything for those that haven't seen it. I read a review that compared the film to Crash and while that seems okay on the surface, after you watch Babel, it's just not fair. This movie is everything Crash SHOULD and COULD have been. Crash was a cookie cutter, paint by numbers movie in regards to social issues. Babel is a social commentary on so many levels. Regardless of your skin color, religious belief, financial status, we all come down to basic human emotions. Sadness, frustration, anger, etc. I know I'm not spouting off anything GROUNDBREAKING, but it was done SO, SO well. Ninety percent of the films released each year are complete crap, but it's a film like this that reminds you how great a film can be with storytelling and literally "moving" you emotionally and making you think. I don't want to go on and on, I HIGHLY recommend seeing it.
