I liked Eddie Murphey's standup until Raw. I thought he was kind of angry in parts of it and it seemed to change his style from then on...

I saw Murphy's stand up the other night, it was a little crude, I think that usually it doesn't bother me. It's just the fact that it was coming from Eddie Murphy.

That's what's amazing to me, that a generation of people have grown up just watching him in these "family" films full of bathroom humor. If these people could only sit down and watch SNL or Delirious and see how great he used to be.

I felt like I was watching Chris Rock or Chapelle, and I'm just not used to that type of humor from Eddie Murphy.

Personally, as far as I'm concerned, Eddie Murphy died in 1990. He sure hasn't done anything worthwhile since about that time. At least, nothing that will measure up to the stuff from SNL and his stand-up albums.

You are right, Cube is another example, he will be remembered for the Friday films and Barbershop, but how many of today's kids realize what a big deal NWA was in the late 80's.

I saw "1408" tonight. It was average and I just really think King's books should stop being made into movies.

I thought it was such a great premise, a great set up, too bad they got to the ending and everything went to crappola. John Cusack makes it watchable and I will likely see it again on DVD, just too bad that the ending wasn't very good.

It seemed like there were pieces of alot of King's other movies/books in the film....

I think the biggest knock I have agains Stephen King is that he seems to have too little life experience. It seems that everything that comes out of him always starts with 'He was a writer from Maine...' . To me that gets a little old...
