I actually think that the official was trying to do what most teams down 2-3 with seconds left...do....I am quite sure that that official though Davis was purposely fouling him to get them to the line, and stop the clock.

I'm VERY VERY VERY interested to see what happens with Jackson.

 

Its nearly identical to Duncan's situation. Player gets tossed while not really doing anything. I'm willing to bet that the league handles is differently.

 

Especially disturbing last night was the speed of the second T. As soon as Jackson realized he'd gotten the first, he was getting called for the second. I don't care what your history is, that was rediculous.

I tend to agree with that. It highlights, however, that officials call the game differently in the last part of the game.

 

As far as I know, the rules don't change in the last minute of the game, so they should be called equally.

 

I've always hated that fouls that would be called intentional for 99% of the game are not called intentional in the last minute when everyone KNOWS it was intentional.

I have no dog in this fight re. who wins. I happened to be channel-surfing late last night and saw that GS was up by 9 with something like 3 minutes to go.

 

Bottom line - Dallas was able to shoot a couple of open 3s with no one guarding them. If GS makes one or two of their final 8 shots and gets a hand in the face on one of those 3s, they win the game.
