May 2, 200719 yr Author At the time there were more than a few seconds left. I apologize...there were "many" seconds left.....a whole :21 to be technical....
May 2, 200719 yr They will. You could be right. Not a fan of either, It is just GS hasn't been to the Playoffs in 13 years. Would like to see underdog win.
May 2, 200719 yr I apologize...there were "many" seconds left.....a whole :21 to be technical.... Since you made the neat little facial expression I'll chime in a little more. He came up to guard him and he stripped more than one player of the ball during the game in man to man defense. It was actually a 1 point game when the foul was called w/ 21.6 left. I doubt that the best palyer on the team is the person they would have had try to intentionally foul w/ that much time left. As you could tell he obviously didn't think he commited a foul. Worst case scenario if they don't call that foul is somebody else fouls w/ 8-10 seconds left. If the person fouled makes both shots GS would have still had their best player, ball handler, and big shot maker in the game. And all I asked originally was if someone else thought it was a foul. I did not. After seeing the replay at lunch I still do not. I think the Warriors thought they won the game when Davis hit the 3 to put them up 9 and I think it's the biggest reason they lost. But I would have liked to see what happened if they didn't give Dallas all of the "close" calls a the end.

I agree with RockPride on this one, and that the Ref called the foul just because the thought Davis was trying to foul on purpose...Did the ref get it wrong yes, but the reason it happened most likely is because he thought Davis was trying to foul since there was only 21 seconds left...
May 2, 200719 yr You could be right. Not a fan of either, It is just GS hasn't been to the Playoffs in 13 years. Would like to see underdog win. I could care less either way...I just expect Dallas to win the series. Especially after last night with GS blowing that game.

The original question I asked was if HT thought it was a foul. I'm aware of the game situation and that the ref could have thought they were trying to foul to stop the clock. In the NBA 21 seconds is an eternity in a 1 point game.

In the NBA 21 seconds is an eternity in a 1 point game. It looked like he was trying to foul him and I can see 100% why the ref would call that foul. Dragon this game was over last night so this might be the end of this thread now.
