Michael Bush to the Raiders

Featured Replies

I think Rob Gallery still has a chance to be a very good left tackle, btw.

I don't, btw. :D

Seriously, Gallery is just too slow laterally and consistently gets beat by faster DE's. And if he's fast enough to stop them from going around, he just gets overpowered and pushed into the backfield. I've heard he going to spend all summer working with his former coach Ferentz out in Iowa and try and improve. Supposedly, the Raiders are going to give him a chance to play guard and I think he will be a better fit there. It's not just Gallery though, they have holes at almost every position upfront.

You think he regrets leaving?
Human beings have a beautiful ability to rationalize their choices (and, my P&R friends, keep me out of this.)

I think that if Bush could have forseen needing a second surgery and dropping to the second day, he would have come back. But I don't think that he would say that now, he would say that his dream was to play in the NFL, and now he'll have that chance.

Fair enough.

Glad to see Bush got picked up. Oakland has had a nice draft.

I am glad to see Bush get picked up, I still think that he should have stayed another year but I wish him the best, imo a great p/u for the Raiders.

Apparently the analyst thinks Bush could be the steal of the draft because of his versatility.

I'd say Oakland is trying to build their O from the outside in. Never a good idea in the NFL

Great Great pick, now, they need to bulk up that O-Line, bring some Sumo's over from Japan and China, HAHAHAHA.

i think they need to work on the o-line now.... they have some nice receivers in Gabriel, Curry, Whitted and now Mike Williams and if Porter comes back they will be even better along with TE Miller and Anderson playing in the middle of the field.... with Jordan and now Rhodes in the backfield it should be a better run game and with Russell at QB its even nicer.... I hope they have a break out year next year and get back to their winning ways....

A couple of years ago they tried to build from inside out by using their first pick on Robert Gallery. However, that hasn't worked out as well as thought, so now they are taking a different aproach and that is understandable.

I hope Michael succeeds in the NFL and proves the doubters wrong.

It'll be a couple years before he starts producing for them IMO, because they still have no O-line, and their receivers are pretty poor as well. He'll split some time with Dominic Rhodes this year....I look for him and Russell to take over in year 2 of the Lain Kiffin experience....

I hope Michael succeeds in the NFL and proves the doubters wrong.

Who's doubting him....
