Jordan would have taken that shot in the lane in the final seconds of the game (and would have hit it), LeBron is content to let Marshall launch a 3. James, IMO, is not a leader on the court, when he is likely capable of taking over the games just as Jordan once did. You cant fault a man for dishing to ball to a wide open player. I mean a leader gets everybody involved and he was majorly contested, so he threw it to a guy who was wide open as open can be. I cant fault a guy for that.
May 22, 200719 yr He may have been a bit gun shy since he really had some trouble once he got past the first defender tonight. A player of his caliber has to take over in that situation, I know I would rather see Lebron trying to score, possibly get fouled then relying on D Marshall to lead me to the tie.

I would like to see Lebron taking a shot also, but he didn't have his best tonight, so I can understand him passing to someone that wide open, I mean he gets paid millions ya think he could make it haha. Its like the Cavs coach said, he had time to drink a cup of cofee and then shoot, they realy colapsed on James well. Give credit to Detroit they took a gamble by leaving him open and guarding James so tight, and it payed off. They did a great job on James all night, I dont like NBA but I love the Pistons defense.

It wasnt his best night and he definitely was not being aggressive. But it was good to see the rest of the team show up for this game.

May 23, 200719 yr Judging by the number of responses on tonights game, EVERYONE is as shocked as I am that Utah has NO BUSINESS being on the same floor with San Antonio. Maybe Utah wins game 3, but they are gone in 5, if not sooner.

It would have amounted to him having to shoot a runner over Tayshaun from 3-5 feet. I can't really fault him for passing the ball out though. He hadn't gotten a call on a drive all night and according to "the book" aren't you supposed to go for the win on the road? I don't blame him for making the pass but it wasn't because of a triple or even a double team.

Thats why NO ONE was within the same zip code as Marshall They did try to collapse but they couldn't get to him in time. I watched the replay about 30 times with all the commentators dissecting it. Prince is the only one that had a chance to stop him. Rasheed was straight out in front of the basket and the help from the other wing wasn't able to get over in front of him so he basically would have had to have made a shot over Prince while going at full speed towards the rim. Not an easy shot by any means but there were not 3 people on him--check it out on Youtube.
