nkyfootball Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Just heard that Ludlow, Bellevue, Dayton, Brossart are not going to play a true Freshman Schedule. This leaves Beechwood, NCC, Holy Cross, Lloyd, and Newport to find freshman opponents.

mexitucky Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Is NCC going to have enough Freshmen to play a full Freshmen schedule? The Jr. High Team didn't seem to have a ton of eighth graders last year.

They usually get a few players from the Ft. Thomas Jr. Football league. There are quiet a few players that live in Ft. Thomas, grow up playing in the Jr. Football League and then attend NC freshman year. I would imagine in the next few years this could change with the new KHSAA proposal.

All Play No Work Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Is Brossart having an impact here????? No. The Red Devils had some 8th graders that will play at NCC (believe there is another RB Kelly for example) and they will again have some in this fall's 8th grade class. Actually the JR high team had about 15, so they are probably looking at a Frosh team of 20-25 players.
Coachg13207 Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 Beechwoods' schedule consist of all these schools ,they play them each 2 times . I guess that may not make sense , Beechwood plays NCC , Holy Cross , Newport, Lloyd .They play a home and home in playing each team 2 times .
nkyfootball Posted April 20, 2007 Author Posted April 20, 2007 This is an 8 game season. Who are the 5 teams mentioned aboved going to play to get a 10 game schedule?
**evillive** Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 Frosh is an 8 game schedule Big schools play 9 games with a championship as the 10th for the #1 team in each division.
**evillive** Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 By the way since the divisions changed it's no longer the A/AA division right?
nkyfootball Posted April 20, 2007 Author Posted April 20, 2007 A - Beechwood, Ludlow, Bellevue, Dayton, Brossart AA - NCC, Newport, Llyod, Holy Cross Minus Brossart and Bracken, these were the same schools in the small A (A/AA) division in NKY last year.
nkyfootball Posted April 20, 2007 Author Posted April 20, 2007 Looking at last years schedules, most of the A/AA division also played a 9 game schedule.
pnthr4life Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 My guess for Ludlow, Bellevue, Dayton and Brossart, is that they have a hard time getting enough kids to play both Freshman and JV schedules. They will probably play each other using Frosh and Soph. players, that see very little, if any, varsity playing time.
futurecoach Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 A - Beechwood, Ludlow, Bellevue, Dayton, Brossart AA - NCC, Newport, Llyod, Holy Cross Minus Brossart and Bracken, these were the same schools in the small A (A/AA) division in NKY last year. Im pretty sure as it has already been mentioned that Ludlow, Bellevue, Dayton and Brossart are going to play their own schedule, and its going to be teams of freshman and sophomores. They are going to play each team twice, and then like have a little playoff between the 4 as well at the end of the season...
