This is absolutely ridiculous. If I were the Police in charge of Blacksburg, or wherever the services are being held, I would not let them anywhere near here.

If these idiots showed up at a funeral for my family members and started this crap, as someone said in another thread, I believe it was hearsay; I'd be looking for a good defense attorney.

I think it will here. We are talking about an entire college, countless 18-24 year olds, coming out to protest WBB. I think something will go down.

These morons showed up to protest a funeral in my area not too long ago. Needless to say the POWMIA showed up in large numbers and the only thing they got accomplished was finding thier sorry tails home.

A few notes on the WBC (for those who missed out in the last thread, I've been doing a semester-long report on these whackos):

 

If they protest here, I'm willing to bet money that this will also turn out to be the biggest tragedy in WBC history (I use the term "tragedy" loosely).

 

However, due to the families that comprise the WBC being mostly lawyers, just like BigBlueFreak said, the kids that start something better get themselves some EXCELLENT defense lawyers.

 

If the WBC really does go out to protest and a massive riot DOESN'T break out, there's still likely to be a "sheild" of people and motorcycle gangs surrounding the protesters to make sure people don't have to look at them or here them, as often is the case.

 

Also, this is just one more scoop of the shovel for the WBC's grave. The more attention they're getting, the more people are figuring out ways to keep them from doing what they're doing. What they need is a group of social workers to go to the WBC compound and figure out what it is these people do to brainwash the younger generations of the families, because I can't possibly see how one can't realize the utter uselessness of these protests. Well, if their main purpose is to get lots of attention and be the most hated group in America, then I'm wrong, their protests are doing just what they need to do. But I honestly think they're trying to preach their message, and they're doing it the worst way possible.

I know a veteran over 75 years old in my area that is very active in heading off every protest that these morons show up to. They try to keep the dead's family from ever seeing these idiots.

People alway talk about gun killing people and drunk drives and what not, and with ever right. Religion is the deadliest weapon this world has ever seen. It doesn't matter your belief or denomination. It's used as a weapon to control thousands and thousands of people, millions in some cases and over time this weapon has been responsible for more deaths than anything that has ever been created.

I was bored at work; and went to their website just to see exactly how crazy this group is. Is anyone else aware they are coming to protest the Derby AND UK's Commencement? Not exactly sure how those two things fit in with their protests of funerals and now school tragedy.
