Has anyone heard anything recently on any of the open jobs throughout the state?

 

Did Danville ever fill their job?

 

What about Montgomery Co, Hazard, PCC, Bell Co. and the other jobs open throughout the state?

I look for Montgomery Co. to name a new coach within the next 2 weeks. i'm not sure who it will be though. A lot of good candidates have applied for it.

What happened to Montgomery Co.'s coach? Any chance Coach Starns will want to get back to the 10th region to compete against his old school?

Mod, Coach Rison decided to step down and retire to be a full time AD and coach girls softball in the spring. I think the way he put it was that he had accomplished all that he could in 20+ years that he could. He won 500, had 20 20 win seasons and made it to the show in the 90's. I would say that there were around 15-20 applicants, my guess is that by now it is shortened to about 6.

From what I hear about the Hazard job it could be someone from a rival school taking the job. I'll see if I can get a name for you guys

Are you talking about Al Holland? I thought that was already a done deal?

He has still not been told that he isn't being rehired at Perry Central yet, don't everyone jump the gun on this one just yet!

My understanding is that it isn't a matter of whether or not Perry will rehire Coach Holland, but a matter of whether or not Coach Holland wants to stay at Perry.

Coach Holland has said no one has mentioned anyone to him about staying or going, so until then, he is making plans on summer camps and schedules for next season. Although he won't be the AD, he will have to go back into the P.E. Classroom, which he has already said he don't mind to do! Unless they tell him he is not going to be the coach soon, looks like he will be staying put.
