Scholarship Situation...

Currently, Billy G. has three scholarships available from Sheray Thomas, Bobby Perry, and Lukasz Orbzut. Now that Morris has left, will the fourth scholarship be available for this class or will we wait until after next season to use it because there will be no juniors next season.

 

Next season we will lose Crawford and Bradley... will the Morris scholarship be available with this group?

Don't forget that Morris' departure is likely to cost the team a scholarship because of APR numbers.

I look for "Bluegrass Billy" to maybe bring in a couple of JUCO's if he can't get the h.s. recruits that he wants right away. JMO

While that fits his MO, it won't be the case this year. It's an ugly JUCO class, and there are no good ones left on the board.

Someone said in another BGP thread that we have 5 scholarships available. Which is it 4 or 5? How many scholarship players can we have 12 or 13?

He also likes to use several walk-ons for practice purposes only (like an NFL scout team) because of the nature of his practices. Not that that has anything to do with the scholarship situation.

There is a total of five schoarships. Mike Williams and AJ Stewart will have two of them next season, leaving three scholarships.

Well, he has Coury. Don't know if Dwight Perry will be back next year. I guess we will see. There's a chance he brings on Matt Walls, and if Eric Allen wants to give it another try there may be a chance for him.

I heard that Perry, Thomas, and Woo would all graduate on time. I would think that would really help the APR with their gpa's and what not.

It's not just a matter of Morris not completeing school. His attendance hasn't been too hot for the past few weeks, and I don't think we'll see him in Lexington for finals week. He's going to fail some classes, if not all of them.
