I do not support Knott Co Central. I have observed the attitude of Alice Lloyd College as in ad campaigns to Wymt tv and Wsgs radio to know that the Stepp name is favored and even honored, non-deservingly in eastern ky. People that attempt to belittle and critize other players on other teams in order to excel themselves deserve no support from eastern ky fans. The Stepps of this generation are not basketball heros nor Gods but decent players to say the least.

JBS had an off night.

 

I honestly thought that this game would be a lot closer.

 

JBS had on off night? I admit, I wasnt at the game.. but from the way it sounds.. they were shooting the lights out in the first half. The second half wasnt due to an off night.. the second half was due to Warren Central leaving JBS begging for air to breath. But I admit, JBS really shocked me. I remember about 4 years ago when they went to Barren Co. for a Christmas Tournament and got laughed out of the building. I dont know whats happend since then, but they've apparently turned that program inside out. How many seniors did they graduate this year? They still have quite a few coming back if i'm correct?

Anyway it goes guys the mountain teams are weak. This does not include South Laurel they are a central team. I wonder if i will ever see a southeastern team win the sweet 16 in the next 5 or 10 years. The last i beleive was Paintsville.

JBS should be proud of their effort and making it to the tournament. They have what, 74 kids in the high school? Wow. Team GPA of 3.5 also. Seems like they have their heads in the right place and maybe they can make another trip next year.

 

I really see JBS going back to back years to Rupp, i have to agree. Although Breathitt and Knott Central return many key players from this years squads. I look for the 14th to be more lop-sided than this year. Those three teams would have to be the favorites in the 14th next season. :thumb:

JBS ran out of gas. Warren Central was very athletic and deep. I believe they started 5 seniors. Physical maturity made a big differance. JBS will be much better next year. Collins kid had an awesome game defensively.

I will agree that experience probably had a lot to do with it but you could tell that JBS was getting beat down the floor in the second half, and they aren't as deep as Warren Central.

Not according to both coaches following the game. Both agreed it was WC's depth and JBS' lack thereof that did in the Crusaders. Again, what more of an indicator do you need than 1-of-12 3-point shooting in the second half?
