March 22, 200719 yr Is this for sure??? it is not for sure, but I would wager that the likelyhood of him coming just became extremely small. From my sources, UK had a very good chance(close to 50/50) of landing both PP and JL. Now they are slim and none, and slim just left town...

Cali' hasn't been in any major troubles at Memphis, what makes you think he would at Kentucky. If he can get the guys down there in C-USA, imagine what he could do at Kentucky. He would not even need to bend the rules to get recruits, it would just come easy. Its Kentucky basketball, the main thing is just win baby.

Its Kentucky basketball, the main thing is just win baby. As someone mentioned earlier, the pressure of coaching at UK would lead him to be more prone to breaking the rules. He hasn't gotten any attention at Memphis yet, because it's Memphis. The NCAA takes a long hard look at teams with probation history, and those in the "Big 6".

THAT IS IN THE DEPLEATED C-USA. What was Memphis before he got there, certainly not a contender. Now he drills us by 20, takes them to a number two seed in the tourney, is still in contention for a title, gets recruits, all the while were sitting back watching everyone else play, and looking for a coach. Why hate on him so much? Like said, if he can do what he has done at Memphis, just imagine the possibilities at Kentucky.

We take a big step back, and it might be a while until UK is back on top. Hope you guys are happy now.:cry: He wasn't fired. Heard on the radio that the issue with his loyality to his assistants was a major part of Tubby's decision to leave. I have not bashed Tubby ever. I was optimistic that if somehow he convinced Morris to stay and a couple of the recruits came throught that the program would be back at the top. I did think a change needed to be made with the assistants. However since this has gone down the way it has, I have a different perspective. Coaches that leave for other jobs face the scrutiny of whether they are leaving the program as well or better than when they took over. No one can dispute that Tubby is leaving this program in worse shape than when he took the helm. The blame for that must fall squarely on his shoulders and that will be his legacy at UK.

Whoever took the program over would have been leaving in worse shape when than when they took over. No one could have sustained that run.

Kentucky is on another level than Memphis and he still is in the tourney, and still beats us by 20. At Kentucky he would far surpas anything he has ever done beacuse he has triple what to work with at Kentucky, than what he does at Memphis.
