That just shows our age. It was always better back in the day.

Boggs split carries with Bostic, then Bostic's senior year he split carries with Mike Stewart and J.B. Newman. Out of these four I would definitely say Boggs was the best, then Newman, then Bostic, Stewart could have been the best to play at Raceland but he did not have the heart or the desire.

Springsteen the one that you originally mentioned was imo no doubt one of if not the best RB ever but there were certainly others worth mention. My list would also include J. Boggs, C. Campbell, C. Barker, D. Bostik, K. Bostick, M. Christian, M. Hunt (Hunt just may have been the best ever if not for his h.s. football carrer ending knee injury before his senior year), M. Wilson and B. Adams. I am sure that I am forgetting some but all of these were very good.

:thumb: :thumb::lol: It also goes along with the time lines that Raceland went to throwing the ball a lot and the spread offense.;)

I am old school........3 yards and a cloud of dust - run it down their throat and play Defense and Special Teams.

I forgot about Mike Wilson I much be getting old, ram you are probably to young to rememeber t howell but believe me he could do it all, the ones you mentioned were great backs but this one made me want to be a ram football player

Just thought I would throw this in there.

I have heard stories about Howell, but I do not remember him personally. I would say all the RB's mentioned so far, that I know personally, were all quality players.

Won't be long, it will be nice to see these programs line 'em up and knock 'em down.

:thumb: :thumb: Two very proud programs with proud traditions. :ylsuper:

I've known you for 32 years and had no idea you were a yankee fan,but even if I would have known still wouldn't mattered can't keep but liking you, I feel like I should start into an air supply song

How about J.B. Newman, Mitch Christian, Mike Hunt, and Jeff Holt. Just wondering were they rank.

Hunt is at the top of the list. I forgot to include him. Without the injury he would have gained a lot of attention at the next level. He was an excellent athlete who excelled in baseball as well and went on to have a nice college career. His only downfall is that he was a Steelers fan.

Will J. Sparks be playing offense or Defense or will he once again be used as a kicker only? He would be a nice target at the WR position.
