Who is starting in the defensive backfield? I figured Shannon Large, how about Pearcy is he a factor, how about Bobby Mckee?Brian Tolliver or Jeff Tolliver

I don't think that the coaching staff has settled on who is starting.

I was very impressed with Piercy during the Spring. The others you mentined are good athletes and should contribute on both sides of the ball.

I think overall the Rams are quickler & faster than last season.

Isn't this the year Cody Chinn with his size should step and control both sides of the line

I think that Cody has been working hard ( they all have) and will have a good year. The Rams have some other players with good size and ability that should mold into a solid unit. It may take awhile for them to gel but if hard work is an indication of how they play then I think we will be OK.

cville you're getting me fired up, bring on those Tomcats!!!

I honestly think that this may be one of the biggest lines in recent history. During the spring practice I noticed that some of the linemen had grown quite a bit. Chinn and Smith both have decent size.

At least our inside backers are set

I look for Denten to be MLB with Carver and Peircy to be OLB's. Should be a solid LB group.

We are still going to show multiple defensive sets right?

I would think so, but the 5-3 was the base last year. There was some 4-4 and some 5-2, which will probebly be used when necessary.

I agree Ram. I think this years LB's are very solid. Excellent speed and they have the ability to read the QB very well.

It won't be much longer until kickoff.

cville you would take Sammons over J boggs and M bostick at running back I didn't have him in my top 25

Nope, but I picked him over the one you had previously mentioned as the best ever. Boggs would be my # 1 choice with Sammons 2nd. M. Bostic is right there with these guy's. A little before your time but Raymond Clark & Bobby Adams also make my list.

How about J.B. Newman, Mitch Christian, Mike Hunt, and Jeff Holt. Just wondering were they rank.

Please call him Michael Hunt. He would have been top 5 IMO if not for injuries,Mitch was in the same backfield with Jerry Medley so they split the carries about like Boggs and Bostick. Claude Campbell had some sweet moves,as did Chris Barker at the the slot
