March 20, 200719 yr Reggie Hanson is interested in a pos. somewhere in TX or so I was told. I hope he gets out of UK (even thou I lose my hook up). He is a good coach and will do well wherever goes.There is a school of thought that says Hanson is a big part of the problem.
March 20, 200719 yr Is Finney really an upgrade? I felt that Tubby's first staff (Sutton and Finney, in particular) wasn't much to write home about ... From what I understand Finney is a pretty good recruiter and a very hard worker. I truly believe that he is a big upgrade over Hanson and Rigot. Those guys arent getting it done.
March 20, 200719 yr Hobbs stay, Hanson and Rigot are gone IMO. That sounds about right to me. Hobbs could go but imo he will remain, "if" he does go I would love to see Finney move up to top assistant, he may anyway. I originally thought that R. Barnes would be brought in but he has accepted a head coaching job. I still would not be suprised if OTS steps down / retire. He just looked tired of all the critisizm to me in that press conference clip after the Kansas game.

March 20, 200719 yr I think they should clean the whole staff out aside from the strength coach and OTS. I think all the assitants need to go. Tubby is a good defense coach, bring in a fast paced offense coach. Someone that brings some fire to the table. Maybe fork out some serious money to bring in an assistant head coach such as Pelfry or Ford, pay them well to keep them around and step in as the head coach when OTS retires or is fired, which ever the case may be. Most importantly, DO NOT UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE hire Kyle Macy as a coach.
March 20, 200719 yr Everyone is basically saying that it is a foregone conclusion that Reggie Hanson and Scott Rigot will be elsewhere next season and will be replaced by two individuals outside of the program. Also, several sources are saying that Finney and Hobbs could possibly swap positions, or Hobbs leave due to his health.
March 20, 200719 yr There is a school of thought that says Hanson is a big part of the problem. May be right... but that can be said for the entire group up there. That still doesn’t take away the fact that he is (could be) a good coach. UK just may not be the best place for him. Just like many other coaches have found they can be successful other places. One failure or “big part of the problem" as you put at a school or program doesn’t mean they can't coach. While I don’t necessary agree with all of what Tubby does, and admit his recruiting ways have been lacking. The expectation (for fans) at UK for any coach is way beyond what they will be able to accomplish.
