NEXT
Uk looked best tonight when they were playing a more uptempo type game. When they settled down, that's when things went south. As far as recruiting goes, you have to cater your offense to the type of players you have. Huggins always had athletic players, so he played an uptempo offense and in your face defense. Look at the top teams in the country and they are all fast paced teams. This is why they get the top recruits. That's exciting for players, coming in knowing they get to play their own style. Face it guys...Athleticism is beating out hard work these days IN THE COLLEGE GAME. Really? When Morris goes out the game we are down 4, we start pressing and boom the lead gets to 20. Not as much to do with athletes as basketball IQ. Jasper is afraid to shoot, Crawford does some stupid stuff, Perry, well he's Perry. Morris and Meeks are the only ones that belonged on the court with Kansas IQ wise
Hangman
Perry? Perry shot 8/12 from the field... That includes 5/8 from 3... And had 21 points, and 0 turnovers. What was so horrible about his game?

If you noticed in the first half when the game was more of a slower pace, we were right in it. But once things started going fast in the second half, we were out of it... letabrotherspeak
Game changed when after Morris went to the bench, they had a couple of possessions where they took quick shots. Quick shots, especially when they are misses usually turn into transition opportunities for Kansas. Compare halves in transition opportunities? Big time difference. Game got away from them. Kansas is good.
Covercorner
Think about it. UK played a slower, more deliberate style because their number one offensive option is a center. Any team who has a true center as thier number one option should play a more deliberate, and maybe slower style.
DragonFire
Perry? Perry shot 8/12 from the field... That includes 5/8 from 3... And had 21 points, and 0 turnovers. What was so horrible about his game? People gave Perry the same crap after last year's tournament despite him having 45 points in two games. Not as good this year because of the Villanova game, but in the tournament at least, he's never given his due by many.

No doubt he had AMAZING tourney games the last two years, but if had played like that all year (or ever 3 times) we wouldn't have drawn Kansas in the 2nd round. Its just frustrating. Good to see him go out on a high though.
