Texas A&M 72 Louisville 69

Featured Replies

It was clear he got a bit lost in the moment. Live and learn I guess...

He played a great game, but took a bad shot. He's a freshman. He's the reason UL had a chance at all. If it wasn't for him it would have been a 10-15 point A&M win. He'll be better next year. Good job UL and lets go cats tomorrow.......

He's the reason I picked them to go all the way ...

Yeah, I've got to say I became a bit of an A&M fan and will be pulling for them now that UL is out. They were physical but not dirty; excited but not mouthy; every time we made a run they came up with some stops and a response; the crowd was against them but they didn't let it affect them; they have a slashing exciting style like UL; they handled the press pressure magnificently; they play fantastic, swarming defense.

I like 'em. I hope they do well.

70 Foul Shots in a game!!! SEVENTY!!!!! 70!!!!

Caracter fouls out in 7 minutes.

It was certainly appropriate that this game came down to a player from each team missing 2 consectutive free throws in the last 30 seconds.

Imo there is absolutely no shame in losing to what I consider one of the top teams in the country in A&M. I believe that Pitino has done one of his best coaching jobs of his carrer this year with this team.

No shame in losing to A&M, they are a very tough team. The dunk by TWill was spectacular. Will Gillespie be back in College Station next year???

:thumb: :thumb: I wouldn't mind seeing him at U.K. at all when and if OTS leaves. I hope that he stays where he is at untill that time comes.

Sometimes it helps to be on the right side of the Law!

I'll throw you a bone.

I'm proud of what Louisville accomplished this season. I don't think they overachieved... I think they were simply UNDERachieving at the begining of the season.

As far as this game goes, if the refs had let the inside game be more physical then I think Louisville would've won (Caracter and Padgett didn't get a chance to do much of anything), but aw well, if ifs were ifs then they'd ifs and all that.

Took my dad to the games, and had a great time down in Rupp. Sosa was awesome, even if his last shot was a mental error he was the reason Louisville was in ANY kind of position to win that game. I was disappointed that Tello didn't show up (if Louisville had any production from him, they'd have won) and besides that there isn't much to analyze because the refs were a joke all day. And don't call me a cry baby, because to be honest I think it went to Louisville's benefit; all Sosa had to do was drive the lane and throw up anything, and he'd reap 'em at the line. But it wasn't pretty, even if I had fun.

This team will be off the charts next year, provided everyone that should come back does and the freshmen have a normal maturation. I'm very excited.

Great game by the Cards. It's a tough loss to take but they played their hearts out, and I can never be disappointed in a team after a game like that. I tip my hat to Law as well, he is amazing and I hope Sosa picked up a few things from watching his game. I still don't understand pulling from deep like that when you're down by 1. There was no reason Sosa or Williams shouldn't have driven the ball to the hole. The refs were also terrible BOTH ways. If I had to guess, I'd say they have never officiated a Big East game before. They stopped the game from having any sort of flow to it, and just blew the whistle every time someone went to the hole. The foul trouble for both teams ruined the game I wanted to see but it was a great game none the less. Congrats to A&M and I'll be looking forward to UofL's pre-season ranking next year. If everyone is back besides the 4 Seniors who did basically nothing for the team except the heart and hard play of Jenkins, then this team will be a monster next year. On a side note, Juan played far too much in this game and Earl played far too little. I think I'm done now.
