March 7, 200719 yr Soriano is going to be the new Barry Bonds or AKA Reds killer I bet. Cubs will be a contender but a lot rest on those bad arms, or injured arms.
March 7, 200719 yr Please quit saying my Cubies are going to do good this season, we don't need anymore jinx's.
March 7, 200719 yr You have to love the offense with Soriano, Lee and Ramirez but plenty of questions on the mound.
March 7, 200719 yr Honestly, I'm more optimistic this year than I've ever been, we've got some big bats. If we can get average pitching they should at least get the wild card, if not win the central! Zambrano, obviously a stud. Ted Lilly put up some decent numbers in the AL east which is full of bats. Sean Marshall I think will be a huge surprise this year, he showed signs of being a stud last year and Rich Hill is pretty good too. I don't expect much out of the headcase Marquis, and no one expects anything out of Wood or Prior so if they stay healthy, thats Just a bonus. Im very optimistic and will be heading to Wrigley for my first time on April 21st to see them battle the Cardinals! GO CUBS!!!!
March 8, 200719 yr Aramis Ramirez just signed a huge contract and already has a history of injuries. I'm taking all comers that Ramirez plays in no more than 110 games.
March 8, 200719 yr Please quit saying my Cubies are going to do good this season, we don't need anymore jinx's. You just wait,,,,,HSSB sticks you guys in his avatar jinx machine and it's a done deal baby! FWIW, I will venture a guess that Soriano's HR #'s and E's will be very close! First one in the 40/40/40 club!
