I think the fans new what was at stake tonight but I would have thought that the gym would be rockin' a bit more than it was tonight!!! Let's see what Conner and Holmes bring to the floor tomorrow night!

NDA really wanted this more tonight. BC made silly mistakes and didn't seem as if their heads were in the game. Heard 'Ol Nell from the bench telling Bradley to grow up when she teared up during the game. tsk! tsk!!!

Great defense from NDA #24 Delph. She was really scrapin' tonight!

Bradley must do that alot... she did the same thing at the Conner/Boone game

Congratulation’s to NDA. They have been by far the most consistent team this year and have earned where they are. Good Luck CJ!!

Boone is the only team in the 9th that is not intimidated and can match-up with them. ND will cruise until the semis at the State tournament.

You are correct Phoenix....Unfortunately; the kid wears her emotions on her sleeve. The thought of letting down her coach/teammates means more to her than most could ever imagine. I personally cannot imagine the intense pressure of running the floor for such high profile program, an extremely tough schedule, and for such a demanding coach. The expectations are incredibly high, but overall, she has come along way and has handled it fairly well for such a young kid. Until she can control her emotions she does not deserve to put on the Boone uniform.

I'm fairly new to this HS stuff so I need enlightened. I thought regional tournaments were supposed to be officiated by refs outside of the region. It was last year so I just assumed. How does that work?

Let's all remember we are talking about kids here. Are emotions a bad thing? It don't hurt to cry every once in awhile. The player in question has alot of emotions for this cruel game and she carries alot of burden on her shoulders for such a small frame. Phoenix, I don't think it is fair for you or anyone else to judge this athlete. Yes, she gets emotional which coach don't like but at least the kid cares. I agree w/indazone, she just has to learn how to control it at times but she does fine.

She wears the Boone uniform just fine! Maybe if more kids had her desire to be better and her winning attitude our youth would all succeed in life.

I asked the same question regarding the refs and the answer I got was that some of the refs wanted to travel and some didn't. I was under the impression that this was a KHSAA deal which meant bringing in officials from different regions so it MIGHT take away any bias in the game. Looking at the fouls situation last night in the Boone/NDA game it is hard to think that there wasn't some bias involved. Refs should be like a ghost in these big games not the center of attraction which is the case in one instance, IMO.

As I understand the refs swap was an option but the paperwork to do the swap was not initiated. It is up to someone in the Region.

And for the record, Jacy would be the starting point on any team anywhere in this region and perhaps the entire state. She is and continues to be a very impressive talent and a blast to watch.

Until she can control her emotions she does not deserve to put on the Boone uniform.

Isn't that a little overboard?

I was in no way trying to judge this athlete and I am sorry if it came across that way. i had just heard that she was a emotional player in the past... in all honesty i thought she was hurt during the boone/conner game

Jacy definately has talent and would play anywhere....well she has for 2 schools already. I think that emotion is expected at ANY age. I think that a coach should be a little less critical when she sees a young athlete running the floor and normally doing a great job. Maybe the pressure was too much for Jacy and her coach should have handled it better.

On the flip side... Jacy is young and made some really poor pass choices in a crucial game. Less showboating and stick to the game plan. Execute and play smart. NDA did this better last night and they came away with the win.

How many Boone players have played elsewhere?

wow, now that would be a long long list - but to name of few - Conner, Holy Cross, Ryle, Simon Kenton, Dixie, and on and on and on. I'm sure there will be a "new addition" to the Boone Co. squad next year. Which school you say? Could be from anywhere. Most teams would love to have all the transfers she's had over the years. And even though this past season's transfer made an immediate impact, one has to wonder if messed up the chemistry that last years team had. But that all speculation.

I don't believe Jacy played on any high school team prior to Boone. I know that she came from the Conner School system but didn't she only play for the middle school prior to enrolling at Boone?
