Interesting call in the 4th on Notre Dame's Jackson-the intentional foul. Thought that was a bit much...didn't seem to warrant the intentional, but I didn't have a good view. Anybody else have a better look at the play? If the game was one possession closer, that call could have been a hot topic for this game.

By definition, I would agree that it was an intentional foul. There was no play on the ball whatsoever. However, you do not see that type of foul called intentional very often. That would be the rub if I were a coach.

Boone is the only team in the 9th that is not intimidated and can match-up with them. ND will cruise until the semis at the State tournament.

 

You are correct Phoenix....Unfortunately; the kid wears her emotions on her sleeve. The thought of letting down her coach/teammates means more to her than most could ever imagine. I personally cannot imagine the intense pressure of running the floor for such high profile program, an extremely tough schedule, and for such a demanding coach. The expectations are incredibly high, but overall, she has come along way and has handled it fairly well for such a young kid. Until she can control her emotions she does not deserve to put on the Boone uniform.

 

Could this play into why BC doesn't have more regional titles? Every year they are ranked at or near the top of the region. I have the utmost reprect for Coach Fookes, but sometimes I wonder if they don't wilt under the "pressure from within".

wow, now that would be a long long list - but to name of few - Conner, Holy Cross, Ryle, Simon Kenton, Dixie, and on and on and on. I'm sure there will be a "new addition" to the Boone Co. squad next year. Which school you say? Could be from anywhere. Most teams would love to have all the transfers she's had over the years. And even though this past season's transfer made an immediate impact, one has to wonder if messed up the chemistry that last years team had. But that all speculation.

It is something that teams should review with their players on how to foul properly. That could have been a major call had Boone followed up the 2 FTs with a Jackie Hicks 3.

Isn't the transfer conversation always good to save until the next season. Hours upon hours were devoted to this pre season.

Understand it is a simple question but since you frequent this site you should know there are always people stirring up trouble. This has been a subject matter over and over. There is only one girl on Boone's team that played V, at another school, during her freshman yr or after. There are two girls who played V while in middle school so them playing at Boone is very legit as is the other player since they moved as the rules state.

 

Wait till next yr and see all the transfers and we can start this thread once again. Sorry to get so touchy cshs81 but it gets old w/the transfer thing.
