Brossart 55 Scott 54

Featured Replies

Congrats to the Brossart players and coaching staff. Good luck next week.

This was a great game for the fans. Sharp & Smith of Scott played really well.

Cooper is a load inside for Brossart.

Scott goes 6 of 15 from the free throw line tonight and missed around 5 open lay-ups. This cost them the game. This team needs to shoot a lot of jump shots and free throws in practice.

Officiating was just terrible. These three officials should return their pay from tonight and quit calling games because they are the worst group that I have seen this year. If the KHSAA can't get better officials than this, then Larry Boucher needs to resign his position of being in charge of officials.

Move to the 8th Region. That way you get use to that kind of officiating.

Congrats to BB. In the end they did what they do best, WIN.

Hopefully Scott can avoid Mason in the draw... they might find themselves making a run. Congrats to Brossart on the win.

Played sloppy. Kidney wasn't the same. Heard through the "rumor mill" that he may have mono.:scared:

That would be terrible for him and this basketball team right now.

JOSH KIDNEY DOES NOT HAVE MONO!!!

He has been under the weather the past few days but (fact) does not have mono.

Cooper is fine. Went to war tonight. Sometimes I think we forget that he is there.

I (who am usually critical of the officials) had no problem with the officiating other than the time-out given to Scott on a loose ball and an obvious makeup call late in the game when Niemeyer travelled and the whole Scott nation knew it and Kidney was quickly whistled for a phantom palming the ball violation make-up call.

Not just because we won, but I think that Larry Lewis and John Chamberlain are two of the finest in the 10th and can work any game we ever play (my personal opinion).

Scott played well tonight.

Neither team hit their free-thows. Nathan Sharp was brilliant, hitting on some impossible shots to keep them in the game and Smith nailed five 3-bombs.

I felt that Brossart played sub-par. Maybe it has something to do with teams that wear blue (NCC at home +2, Gallatin County +1 and now Scott +1).

I think that it's a matter of how many big games can you get up for.

We are not that far removed from the "A" State finals, the CovCath game was very emotionally draining, and believe it or not we were very up for Silver Grove. Tonight I thought that we were flat - I was flat.

We will be ready to go in the Fieldhouse Wednesday or Thursday.

It's unfortunate that a high profile game like this can't get some decent officiating. At least they were bad on both sides of the ball.

Was it loud at the game big blue. How many people were at it?

Not quite a Crosstown Crowd WhoDey, but close--Not many empty seats!! A great atmosphere for a district final--The best thing the "powers to be" in the 37th ever did was designate the final at the Middle School!! Great venue for a big game, and a good prep for the trip to the Fieldhouse!!

Classic game... Great efforts... Great crowd... Very nice venue... Congrats to Brossart in a tough fought game. Great effort by Scott who never gave up and very nearly pulled the upset.

Thought the officiating was not an issue. Agree on the Niemeyer travel and Kidney did not palm the ball. Cooper is tough to officiate...so much stronger than most post players....tough to tell when it is a flop versus legitimate contact. Think the biggest missed call was an obvious push by Uebel on an in bounds play versus Smith that led to an open 3 pointer on the other end.

Should have been an offensive foul on Uebel and Scott's ball underneath their basket and no three on the other end.

Or the call late in the game when Nate Sharp slipped, lost the ball and managed to call a timeout with the ball rolling around loose on the court?? Scott kept possession, and Smith hit a three on the insuing play!! Cooper probably has some serious bruises on his back from all the hits he took underneath. Agree it's hard to officiate a game like this, especially inside as there's obviously a tendancy to allow the littler guy more latitude to push the bigger guy--Still shouldn't allow players to constantly "hit" the bigger post guy in the back either. That's why teams look for big post players, because they are hard to stop from getting to the basket when playing "within the rules"!!

Bryan did appear to "slide his pivot foot", but the Kidney palming call obviously righted that wrong. Although I'm not sure I even know what traveling is any more after watching the SG-BB game?? :D

Anyone have the stats on this game? I love to see the rebounding and shooting % stats; but feel free to omit the free throw shooting stats, as I've seen those, and both teams stunk!!

I find it funny how the Scott faithful are complaing about the bad calls against them and Brossart Vice Versa. The officials were constintly poor at both ends, get over it, It was evenly poor both ways. Great Game to be at would love to see a re-match in the regional finals, good luck to both.

Agreed, but it would take a couple of monumental upsets!!

Also agree, but wouldn't it be something.
