Mustang, you are only showing pictures that show Scott in a bad position. Show some of Cooper just lowering his shoulder to get separation. Cooper could be called for a charge practically every time he makes a move to the basket. Cooper is a really good player and he might take a beating, but he surely gets away with a lot. :D

This is completely false. Cooper doesn't get away with a lot. He plays "within the rules of the game." He also takes a pounding while doing so. He's just a REALLY good basketball player, Scott just didn't have anyone to match him.

I will totally agree that Cooper is a very good player and that Scott had no one to match-up with him, but give me a break by saying that he doesn't get away with a lot.

No doubt it is unfair to just show a couple that "show Scott in a bad position" but those are the calls that you were citing as "terrible officiating."

Nate on Cooper was a size mis-match, Soooo, he had to "overplay" some to nuetralize the Mustang big man and was pretty much allowed to get away with it. Nate was only whistled for two fouls in the game, and pretty much played one on Coop, the entire game.

Cooper isn't exactly so quick with his move that if it were illeagal I'm sure that it would be detected. His two offensive fouls in the past three games (CovCath and Scott) came with his back to the defender. Jacobs of CovCath took a flop and sold it and the one with Scott may or may not have been legit.

Whatever, it's in the books.

Incidentally, after drawing the brackets today for the 10th Region Tournament, maybe we should have been rooting for Sharps' last shot to fall - lol! ;)

Could not agree more the refs were terrible BOTH WAYS, and on Sharp's shot, last night i wish it would of fell, but this mourning i couldn't be happier that it didn't.

Does it really matter? According to the 10th region draw thread, BB and Scott, if they are lucky enough to advance to Saturday, are mearly providing "opponents" for the BIG TWO and delaying their showdown on Sunday!!

It does seem to have worked out better for Scott.

I would be willing to bet that Clark's and Mason's coaches are not looking at it like that. They will be telling their teams that any team can beat another on any given night!

I'm sure you're right, just having some fun with these guys who act like everybody but Clark & Mason should just stay home? No doubt that any final but GRC vs. MC will be an upset, but they do happen!!

You won't be hearing that from the GRC faithful....believe me we are taking one game at a time. I for one am glad we are not in the same brackett as Mason. We knocked off the #1 team last year in PC and then didn't make it to Rupp. One game at a time.

Congratulations to the All-Tournament Team which I believe was:

Nate Sharp--Scott

Ryne Smith--Scott

Corey Pelle--Silver Grove

Glass ??--Calvary Christian

John Verst--Campbell County

Nate Mutsch--Brossart

Bryan Niemeyer--Brossart

MVP

Troy Cooper--Brossart

As with all these teams several others were deserving as well, but hat's off to these guys!!

Good to see Niemeyer get recognized, has had an amazing year for a player who didn't get a lot of PT last year.
