I just heard Brad Schmitt, defensive end for the Tigers, has accepted an invitation to play for the Dayton Flyers. Word is they are looking to possibly move him in to defensive tackle. Dayton is a great school and with a very good football program. Should be a very good fit for #83.

Good Luck and Congratulations Brad!!!

Congratulations to Brad and his family. Glad to hear the Flyers will have another Tiger on board.

This is a topic for the College Board, but word on the street has it they are going to renovate the old one and stay put. The first step is supposed to happen this Spring which is to get rid of the 25 year old Astro Turf. It's been the cause of a lot of injuries over the last several years because more and more High School programs are using the newer Sports Turf and the kids aren't use to the harder surface.

:ylsuper: Congratulations Brad! :ylsuper:

:ylsuper: Good Luck as a Flyer! :ylsuper:

Go Flyers!

I loved my time up there and went to as many football games as I could. Maybe while he's there the Flyers will pick up an opponent that's worth watching... that would be fun.

But the team can be really fun to watch and I think he'll really enjoy the Gem City.

It's good to hear that they are replacing the old Astro turf. I can't imagine anyone playing on that surface anymore. I have also heard they are going to do some renovations to the stadium. He'll be joining two other Tigers up there. Should be a great experience for him.

Good job Brad!

Stay away from the Ghetto.
