Moeller vs. Bell County (Is this game going to be played?)

Why can't they find games with other NKY schools? I know they've played HHS and CCH in the past.

CovCath is playing nonconference games with traditional rivals Beechwood and NewCath, to go along with a new series this year against Louisville X. They will also be playing Elder and LaSalle. Two GCL South teams in one season is, in my opinion, enough for any Kentucky school. Not sure why Highlands opted not to play a GCL team this year. For whatever reason, the other NKY big schools usually don't play the GCL South teams, although Dixie and Boone have played them in the past.

You were the first person I thought of when I read the thread title. I knew you'd be quick to congratulate Bell on that tough addition.

Tough or Titanic!!!

To find somebody to play them. Moe, as do the other GCL South teams, often struggle to fill their schedule. Moe had a home and home with Hendo recently, so they aren't shy about traveling.

I'm guessing they're also looking for the proverbial Harbin Cow.

Well, I wasn't going to say that...

WOW! That will be a night. After watching Highlands vs. Cov. Cath. I get to come home, jump on the preps and read about the field conditions for the Bell vs. Moeller game.:dancingpa

OOOOOOH! that's a good one:laugh:

Are we talking about Cinti Moeller? Don't they own a couple of National Championships?

A whole lot of it has to do with available open weeks of course. I know that Dale tried to schedule some of the Ohio schools (and is still trying to put something together for week two), but was having a very tough time matching up open weeks with some of them and trying to balance the home and away schedule for this year. As for Moeller in specific, if they were looking for a game that week from a N. Ky team and if Henry's right, Cov

Cath and Highlands will kind of be busy that night already fo the two most likely opponents from N. Ky were not available. Don't know about the other N. Ky schools however.

I don't know about stirring the pot but maybe dumping the pot the last time we were at Pine Mountain with Big Red.:jump:

I'm not referring to CCH or HHS. Those schools nefer have to defend their always tough schedules. I'm primarily referring to the up and coming NKY 4A.

Is it me or does Moeller have 11 games scheduled?

When I went to the link provided above, it showed 10 teams they were playing (Cincy St. X twice but I only counted them once) PLUS the Ohio/USA Game which would make 11 games. Wonder who they're planning on dropping then???

If Moeller has a very quick team, I look for soggy conditions on Log Mountain that evening.
