March 1, 200719 yr I don't think so. I think Tubby will be back next season. If no more progress next season then I think he is out. As I've said before, I think we see a complete staff shake up for next year. I think Tubby brings in Lucas' papa and maybe a Buzz Peterson, Steve Lavin, or Kyle Macy. Finney definitely has the recruiting back on track, and Holsopple is doing a great job as the S&C coach.

March 1, 200719 yr It'd just be sooooo nice to have a PG that can actually shoot the ball with some confidence. Jasper and Hawkins can't/couldn't do that. I will have to disagree on Hawkins. His freshman and sophomore years he couldn't shoot a lick. But his junior year as the 6th man off the bench he started to become a better shooter, and then his senior year he actually became a pretty darn good 3 point shooter for us, and actually made alot of clutch shots...But the last two point guards we have had starting for us in Jasper, and Rondo now those two can't shoot a lick..

I think the Tubby Bashers have to realize that if UK gets rid of Tubby, we will have a couple tough years ahead of us more than likely. If UK keeps Tubby we have a great chance of getting a couple of burger boys who can play.

March 1, 200719 yr Someone may have mentioned this in another thread but..... Lucas and Patterson are the only Burger Boys not yet signed. What's the common denominator?? They are waiting for UK. It just makes sense IMO.

If you knew anything about the way Macy was at Morehead, you'd be strongly against having him anywhere near Lexington.

Tubby Smith has been nothing but a class act his entire coaching career. Why would change now? He is above that.
