Fairview could play them close with good games from Barker and Hall. Both teams will be well coached.

You never know? Russell gets Gill back. They did just beat Ashland and Elliott without him. I hope VanHoose is OK but there is enough talent there to keep on going. With or without.

You're right... you never know.

 

Scott Gill is a phenomenal athlete, but on paper, there is about a 10 to 15 ppg difference between Gill and VanHoose.

As far as Ashland vs Fairview, on paper, the Tomcats should win this game handily. But, as everyone knows, the game isn't played on paper. Paper can't measure heart, and this is something Mr. Barker and company have in abundance. This should be a really good game.

As for the original question of Ashland vs. Fairview. I wil say Ashland by 18. I believe that they have overall much better talent than the Eagles. Barker and Hall could make it intersting for te Eagles but with the great coaching at Ashland I believe they will find the answers for them. Good luck and may BOTH teams stay injury free. Key players from both Russell (Vanhoose) and Raceland (Boyles) went down with injuries last night in the 63rd and I hate to any kid go out with an injury.

Well said, Fastbreak! I think Ashland will win, but there is no "quit" in Fairview. They will give it their best and it could be a good game. Ashland better not be looking ahead.

Ashland wins this one rather easily.

I'll be the first one on this thread to say that I think Fairview will win. IMO-they will be pumped up. Barker will want this one bad. I believe that his team mates will give it all they've got. I'll echo oldrambler -may BOTH teams remain injury free. Ashland will give them a good game but they will come up short.
