The Vanhoose family is in our prayers, Tyler is doing much better he was kept overnight at KDMC the Boyles family is also in our prayers. These kids on both sides deserve alot of credit they represented their school and community with pride. They worked hard all season to have the opportunity to advance in Tournament play. We all need to remember it is about the KIDS not the refs, the radio, or even the fans. The coaches work hard to make these kids both better people and better players. Good Luck to Russell, and Ram Seniors Congratulations on your career you represented us former Ram Basketball players with honor and class.

Has anyone said if it was a concussion? If it was, then I'm really concerned about Tyler's playing future. I know for a fact this is at least his 2nd concussion he's received playing. My prayers go out for him. He is a tremendous young man with a wonderful family.

Russell won. Raceland played a laudable game and can be proud of its performance. However, the real concern is the health of the two injured players. As far as basketball in the region is concerned, the only issue is the status of Jonathan VanHoose.

 

VanHoose is clearly the premier player in this area. He cannot and will not be "replaced" by team mates "stepping up". You don't replace the premier player in the region. If he is out for the remainder of the season, Russell's season will be short. I cannot see them beating either Ashland or Elliott County without him. Could Ashland function without McDavid? How about Elliott County without Ferguson? VanHoose far surpasses either of these players.

 

First, I hope there is no lasting or permanent damage. Second, I hope he can get back on the floor for the regional.

Russell hasn't won anything yet so I wouldnt get ahead of myself on that prediction because Ashland or Elliot might have something to say about that.

 

Obviously, what Raider95 was saying is that Russell won and, thus, will go to Morehead to attempt to defend its regional title. Methinks that Tomcat_Fan is too easily offended.
