A good official should not call anything different at tournament time than any other time of the year, nor should a call not be made at the end of a game, just because it is the end of the game.

Mofford was called for a foul earlier on a clean block, but he made contact with Owens on the last one. And how bad was the charge on Owens when he split the double team in the first half?

Officiating 100% did not determine the outcome of this game. Players did. Saint Patrick got too impatient on offense and relied too much on the 3 (which was not falling) instead of attacking the basket.

I totally agree with this statement, but how many times do things not get called because of the time of the game. At the end or at the half when a person throws up an attempt from half court and gets hammered but the whistle isnt blown. As a coach, if its a foul I want it called no matter the time or the situation.

Probably the most accurate assessment of some of the calls in question, and the (lack of) the officials ultimately determining the outcome of the game so far in this thread.

DONE!

Its amazing. Some were talking about be-heading Coach Kelsch, Now that he won. Can he please keep his head, I took up for him last week and I will do the same now, Good job

So who else was a little nervous when 2 Augusta fans tore down that sign with a 3 point lead and seconds remaining? Talk about premature celebration.

I was hoping they'd wait. After seeing the UK football game where they decided to dump the Gatorade on the coach.. then follow that up by losing, I couldn't help but start shaking.

Wow are we rude

No rudeness intended just hate to see a mod shut the thread down for getting off subject this is a thread about the game, and i think people would like to hear how the game went instead of not being able to post anything in a closed thread.

What did the sign say that they ripped down?

was it offensive?

I heard a roar from the crowd and looked up and saw it happening. I said to someone, "Oh my God, we'd better win now!!!"

Personally I don't think they should have done it but it happened and we won so we'll just continue on.

hey quagmire, you coming to the game tonight?

we supported you last night, so expect the same support

what did sign say?

Taken probably form our slogan after winning last year (From the River to the Region), or just from the fact that the school is very close to the Ohio River... the sign stated something like "Send them back to the RIVER"

It said "SEND THEM BACK TO THE RIVER!!!"

Of course when they tore it down, I thought, we better win or we will look stupid.

I agree with Quagmire on this one about they should not have done it.

Poor judgement on Chris Owens though with that shot. Tie game plenty of time on the clock, it just seemed rushed. Owens is a very good player, but the final minute of the game he and the Saints just fell apart.
The saints i believe were down by 3 on this shot attempt.

Quagmire will be in attendance tonight, especially after a good Panther win last night!!!!! It would be nice to see Bracken County shock the world!!
