That team HAD to win the ACC tournament to get in. They were in worse shape than Kentucky is going into the SEC Tournament.
February 25, 200719 yr ^ back then you had to win the conference to get in. It was tougher to get in back then, but the ACC still had 4 teams make the tournament that year. As I stated earlier, UK is in better shape at making the dance, that the WolfPack did back in 83. Don't get me wrong, I don't see this UK team doing much of anything, but as NC State proved, anything is possible.
