The two three-balls from Tyreese Scott early in the second half were huge. Kind of felt it would be Mason's night when that first three from Scott bounced high off the rim and fell through.

 

Darius obviously was the difference-maker tonight. I thought he did a very good job of making himself big. Several times he got down on the block, spread his hands and feet and made himself available for the entry pass. Went something like 10-15 FGS (1-1 from distance), 8-9 FTs. A dominant performance on both ends of the court against a quality opponent.

 

MHighfield is right - the tendency to let up after getting out to a big lead is a little disturbing. Not much else to find fault with for Royal fans, however. Very nice to see the improvement in Nate Stahl's confidence and his game; the Royals don't lose a thing except for a bit of athleticism when Stahl comes in for Pawsat.

 

Royals close out the regular season in Falmouth on Friday; gotta love those roads.:creepy:

Brossart played this one a little closer but they don't have an answer for Miller. Regional looks like a two team race with Mason & GRC with Brossart having an outside shot.

Good win by Mason again. Once again they proved they are the team to beat in the 10th. Sounds like Darius was the true difference maker in this one on both ends of the court.

 

Brossart has no time to worry about this one, as they are right back into the fire tomorrow at NKY #1 Covington Catholic!! Last two games vs. #3 & #6 in the state and the best the 9th & 10th have to offer, will hopefully prepare them for the disctricts.

They were there, Humphries and Graham. This was an excellent night to get out and scout as mother nature created havic in some parts of the state where makeup games were needed. There are several teams playing 3 times this week to round out regular season games that were missed in the last 2 weeks because of the weather. Its all about preparation as post season is next week. You have to love this time of the year, March Madness is approaching.

If it hadn't been such a bad 1st quarter for Brossart if would been one close game. Brossart can play with with any team in the 10th region.

If it hadn't been a bad start the game before that when they played it would have been closer.If their defense had shut down Miller like some of you claimed the last time it would have been closer.BB is a good team if they are allowed control the game.When they can't they will be beaten like last night by a better and more athletic team.

The Mustangs score around 55 points a game give or take. As we saw against Lafayette, Miller has an off game and then Setty scores a bunch. Or one night its Middleton or Scott, etc, etc. It really is amazing how many weapons this team has.

 

As it's been noted all year, they have a tendency to take quarters off or kinda fall into a lull and it's "almost" cost them. They could have easily lost 3 or 4 more games if they hadn't tightened things up, got a break here or there.

 

That's what good/great teams do, just find a way. I love how Brossart gets after it and the way they play on defense. But it's likely going to take one heck of a shooting night on their part to beat the Royals if they should meet a 3rd time.

When will Brossart break the losing streak against the Mason boys? This is 11 straight losses. What a thorn in their side.

I agree with that, I have only see the Royals play around 5 times or so this year and there have been times where Darius is TOO unselfish and not looking for his shots. As we saw last night, there are some nights where he just will dominate a game. You can't really teach or coach a kid to be unselfish, that quality is going to take him a long way in college, wherever he ends up.
