Pastor Melissa Scott??

Featured Replies

Sometimes late at night, Channel 255 on DirecTV will air religious programming featuring Pastor Melissa Scott. Wears a trenchcoat; uses a big whiteboard and markers for her Biblical instruction. Sometimes will sing a song or two; not especially talented at that. I feel like someone passing a train wreck; I know I shouldn't look but I do anyway, at least for a few seconds.

Has a "checkered past"; used to be in the, shall we say, adult entertainment business.

Does anybody actually help fund these folks? I guess they must, otherwise they wouldn't be able to buy air time.

Man don't use the term "Train wreck".

Well I guess its better than what she used to do. I'll check her out, but is a women allowed to Preach to men? Maybe a different topic.

She is on tonite (Wednesday) from midnite until 2AM EST.

I may have seen her. Does she where a cleric collar?

I've never seen her, but I remember seeing her husband on satellite when I was a kid. Interesting character, he was.

I have watched her and her teachings are very Biblical but not for the average church goer but for shall I say a student of God's Word. I know she has a bad past but then again who doesnt have something in their life that they are ashamed of. Her teachings are mostly in depth Hebrew and Greek breakdowns of God's Word, unless you really love and desire to know more of the Bible and what the original meanings were then you would probably be very bored listening to her.

I'm watching her right now. I don't see what's not to like about her. She's smart, attractive and articulate. And like Bubba said, she preaches the Bible.

HHSDAD...I agree with you even though she is wrong in preaching to men. (Paul not me) Can we start a new topic about "women Pastors" or has it already been brought up?

So would you be wrong in watching?

That would be a whole new thread.

Wrong...I'm not sure but I know what Paul says. You can't Pick and Choose scripture.

Dad you want to start it, I'm going to church and be home late.

No thank you. If you or anyone else wants to start that thread go ahead and start one.

I have awoke in the night to see some of these type shows...and yes I called them shows! I can't and won't listen to anyone that SREAMS through a tv about religious beliefs. It seems to be way to much acting on these shows.

What did Paul have to say on the subject?
