In 1st Corinthians 14:34 Paul tells how the worship should be. On women he said " Women should remain silent in the Churches. They are not allowed to speak, but musy be in submission, as the law says. If they want to ask about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a women to speak in the church".

Now Paul might be addressing women of this certain church. Apparently some women were causing some problems. I could go in futhur detail in someone wants me too, but it was a local problem.

Elsewhere in Paul's writings there is full recognition of the character of some Christian women, although it is a known fact back then their role was somewhat a small one.

There are many passages in the New testament which shows that Godly women were involved in sharing the Gospel, but it was not customary for them to preach or teach. Acts 16:40 17:12 17:34.

2nd Timothy 2:9 says "I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, not with braided hair or gold and pearls or expensive clothes:

verse 11...A women should learn in Quietness and full submission, do not permit a women to teach or have authority over a man; she must be silent".

My think so's is women in the whole Bible played a very important role, they stayed with Jesus during his darkest hour and were there when he rose from the grave. If they want to be more involved in service it wouldn't bother me and seeing a women preach doesn't freak me out, but as a full time position I can't see it where I worship. Remember where I'm from where things are different in the small southern towns.

I have awoke in the night to see some of these type shows...and yes I called them shows! I can't and won't listen to anyone that SREAMS through a tv about religious beliefs. It seems to be way to much acting on these shows.
I haven't seen any screaming on her show. It's mostly teaching.

Not speaking of her....not sure I have ever seen her show. Talking in general..in channel surfing.

Is she related to Doctor Eugene Scott? He has been around in TV evangelism for several years. He used the Dry Erase Board, too, and I watched him break down the original Greek Scriptures and attempt to debunk much of accepted Christian beliefs.

She is Doctor Scott's widow.

I read about Dr. Scott and he was married three times. The one who preaches now was his third wife and 39 years younger than him, according to en.wikipedia.org

Dr. Gene Scott was one of the best teachers on the Bible I have ever heard..whether you agree with his view point or not,his way of teaching was to dig for the truth and not take someone else's word for anything..I found much of what he taught to be the truth. He changed my viewpoint on several things..and for the better. Not one thing he taught went against anything in the Bible...most of it actually reaffirmed my beliefs (some of which I had begun to question anyway!)
