NewCath 35 Ryle 30

Featured Replies

Seriously.

NewCath lead 13-0 after the first quarter, 20-9 at the half.

Ryle hit a three pointer at the end of the third period to make it 26-14, and another at the end of the game to get it to 35-30 which was as close as this one got all night.

Kiernan returned from injury for NCC and had the first 6 points of the game.

Lots of turnovers and just bad play. Probably the most 5 second calls and most charging fouls in a long time.

35-30?

Maybe I messed up the rims playing up there last night?

You're that bad of a shooter? I'm sure you can't grab them.

Shots would actually have to be taken in order for that to happen.

Ryle's offense is to pass the ball until they throw it away.

NCC's offense is to be thankful they got the ball up the floor and every 4th time remember to throw it inside to Kiernan.

I could be wrong but I think Ryle was 2 for 2 on three pointers and the only reason they shot them was because there was no time left on the clock.

NCC was about the normal 50% from the line and missed or charged on every lay-up other than Kiernan.

JV game was technically played much better especially in the final two minutes.

This is hilarious!!!!! 35-30. How did NCC win the All A this year???

I'd guess they play pretty good defense!!

I bet this one was difficult on the eyes. Both teams probably averaged those numbers on the gridiron.

No we had a half court shot contest.

I was only about 10% but did drain three in a row.

There were only 4 of us, and I think in one stretch Grant made about 10-11 straight 3's from well behind the arc.

NCC had a shut out (maybe a no hitter according to AWNP) through the 1st.

It sure wasn't pretty, but a win is a win. I agree with APNW, Ryle would run ball screens at the top of the key for an entire minute and then instead of going towards the basket they would throw it away. When you are down 10-12 points in the 4th quarter, you need to attack the basket. I think NewCath made 2 threes all night, probably about 2-12 or so.

NewCath is a totally different team with Kiernan in there, but then again who wouldn't be?

On a side note: NewCath's JV also shut out Ryle in the first quarter. (11-0)

When is the last time a JV and Varsity pitched first quarter shut outs in the same night?

wow, how many people asked for their money back? 35-30 I would rather go to the dentist. sorry.

That would be APNW you're probably talking about.

NewCath can certainly guard. Running high ball screens, if that's what Ryle tried to do, won't gain you much.

Ryle scored 16 in the fourth quarter to get to 30. I've contended all year that Ryle has talent. Am I wrong, or can Nelson, Miller, Luster, Porter, Maley, etc. play?
