Twany Beckham from Ballard for Mr. Basketball

Featured Replies

I think he is simply one of the best basketball players in the state of Kentucky. He has led his team to KOB and LIT championships and has his team sitting at a remarkable 27 and 2

I know he is good. I had the pleasure of seeing him play this spring in AAU. He is the real deal.

I saw him in the Farm Bureau Classic .....Real deal and real team !!

If Walls and Scott Co. hadnt smoked them, he'd have a good chance. It's all Walls and Pettigrew from what I can tell.

True ............. There 1st game .......Stay tune ........

I hope he is shooting the ball better now than he did in that 1st game at Scott Co. I remember that Mackey didn't have to pick him up until he got to the free throw line - they dared him to shoot the 3. He is an AWESOME athlete though.

Awesome athlete :thumb: D-1

Twany is a great player and tremendous athlete but he is not going to beat Pettigrew for Mr Basketball, and there has never been a Mr basketball at the guard position, that didnt have a 3-ball

Pettigrew 35 points per game and 17 rebounds, leads the state in both. His team is playing the best ball they have all year now with all their players getting healthy. If Pettigrew does not win Mr. Basketball, that would be a greek tragedy.

Pettigrew has to be a huge favorite for the award, plus he has the stats to back the hype.

Best seniors I have seen play are:

1. Walls

2. Proffitt

3. Pettigrew (haven't seen him play since late last season)

4. Mack

5. Beckham

Rojas, since you have not seen Pettigrew play this year then it's hard to accept an opinion from you on Mr. Basketball. Mack is a junior and is having a fine year, but not a Mr. Basketball year.
