Thats about all it will do. 1st "T" player spikes the ball, thats gonna get one everytime, 2nd, Coach Williams kicks the scoring table and is saying some rather harsh words gets one and continues to scream and yell. All of this over an elbow thrown after a rebound that was a no doubter. 4th one player from Pikeville is talking trash during a free throw attempt.

They earned their T's. One player threw the ball and hit a Raceland player, the coached got carried away after an elbow was called against their center. The last T was on # 3 for talking smack to a raceland player while he was shooting a free throw. He was warned not be quiet and didnt. I dont have the stats, but i know Raceland made some field goals in the 4th. They shot a lot of free throws because of the T's and Pikeville was fouling and putting them on the line to stop the clock. Was, however, inconsistant officating both ways. Kind of like last year when Raceland went to Pikeville.

 

Let me refresh your memory about what happened just before #3 got the T. By the way , he was not talking smack to a Raceland player. Pikeville's point guard shot 2 free throws. He crossed the line after the ball reached the goal, the ref said he crossed too early. The second shot he remained perfectly still, even after the ball went through the goal. The ref again made the same call. Everyone can say the refs are just human, but you will have a hard time convincing me there wasn't something else in his mind.

All I know is that a Raceland player told me # 3 was running his mouth after being told enough by the ref.

The elbow was called on Adams who honestly lacks the physical capacity to throw an elbow. #3 said to the ref that the raceland player was over the line line Pikeville's player was called, to which the ref said to be quite, so he did but was smiling and the ref took it as a smirk and the T was called--story from the ref and from #3 (Bell).

I'm sorry. But how does a person who is physically able to play the game of basketball unable to muster the strength to throw an elbow?

I have to agree with this , I am disabled and am able to throw an elbow if I so choose.

Ugly called game on both ends of the floor.

Ref's also missed a obvious Goal tending call

as well as many other missed calls.

 

Game over.... Move on......Get over it....

When I said "lacks the physical capcity" I meant that Adams is not at all physical or aggressive when he plays.

The explanation from the ref to the coach after the T was called which I heard was that the player was "laughing" after he was told that he was not the one calling the game.

Everyone can say the refs are just human, but you will have a hard time convincing me there wasn't something else in his mind.

 

If you're thinking the refs called it bad one-sided, you must have been seeing a different game than I did. There were alot of bad and missed calls on both ends of the court (and everywhere in between!) Worsed called game I have ever seen, and I have seen a few, but, in no way one sided. If those 3 were FOR Raceland, I'd hate to run into the ones that are against Raceland. And as for the coach getting two T's, just another example of a coach setting the wrong example for his team....and then they followed his example.

I saw the same game you did. I will agree with one thing you said. There were some bad calls both ways. You didn't quote the first part of my post. How do you explain the ref calling the player stepping over the free throw line when he was completely still, even after the ball went through the goal?

You obviously don't know the coach. His reaction was not a normal one for him, but you can just take so much. By the way, one of the refs in the girls game told the coach that it was not justified.
