Cats Pause and Inside the Ville are absolutely terrible message boards. I can't stay on either of them for more than 10 minutes at a time.

Did you poll your friends like BillyRayJoeBob asked? Early exit for UK this year might mean early exit for Coach Smith.

Has Duke, UNC, UCLA had periods in their history where they weren't the best???????

It happens to every program.

Right now UK is at an all time low. There's really only one person who you can possibly blame...... If not it's fate and it doesn't matter who coaches anywhere.

Even Bama fans are feelin sorry for the Cats.

Okay, I'm only 41, but I can never remember seeing a worse Kentucky team than what we're seeing this year. It was a great win for us yesterday, but it just feels wierd to have beaten Kentucky, and feel sorry for them. I guess it's sort of like the teams who beat us in football for the past 5 or 6 years. Yeah, it was the mighty Alabama football progam they beat, but it was a severely "NCAA sanctioned, one hand tied behind the back" Alabama. Anyone else feel the same way?

If you read their boards, you soon lose sympathy for them. It's as if we had little to do with their loss. We're dismissed as average or worse. They view it as if their scrubs beat the first team and just happened to be wearing white with crimson trim... :D

I thought this was funny, but true.

This UK team is far from the worst UK team ever. Try to stay away from the UK message boards and their illogical fans.

Yeah, they might remind you of us on our football board.
We only had 29 points with 12 minutes to go in the GAME. I remember a game in 1996 when we had 84 points at halftime (LSU).

Ummmm that 96 teams was one of the best teams to ever play the game...

You are officially in the minority.

I really don't care. Tubby's overall numbers for his career speak for themselves, he knows what he is doing. I am obviously frustrated with the last two years, as every UK fan should be, but I still think next year will be the year Tubby will really have one of the best teams in the country, if Patterson signs and Morris comes back, both of which I think are going to happen. Give him one more year, then if he has another season like this year, then you look at other options, but since he is the head coach at UK, I support him. If that makes me in the minority it is extremely sad, and I am embarrased to be a UK basketball fan.

No they haven't and they got rid of Foster, Daugherty/Guthridge, and Farmer/Hazard. :sssh:

Guthridge walked away after 2 Final Fours in 3 seasons. The other schools and coaches went through spells that would force UK fans to commit suicide... Tubby may be bad, but not that bad

Agreed but why wait till it gets that bad?

You may have a point.

My contention is (referring back to the AD thread), from an AD standpoint, going on Tubby's record at UK, it would be tough to make any kind of a case to fire a coach with his success. Success is in the eye of the beholder, which is much more scrutinized from a fan's point of view.

UK played bad, I wasn't very happy with their performance.

The thing that kills me is that this was a game that if Kentucky gave their maximum effort they would have won by 15. Meeks, Crawford, and Bradley were the only ones on the floor who seemed like they cared.

Thank you, thank you, thank you; a voice of reason and sense!!!!!

Bradley was 4 of 15 from the field; he hustled, but he needs to do better; it's time he grow up, make a tough shot, quit turning the ball over, and not get lost on defense.

Check out Cats Pause.

Now there's a credible source:laugh:   .
