New year, same story. Congrats to the Breds. After watching this game and Newport on defense last week, I think Newport gets the 2 seed.

It’s easier to think that after what happened tonight for sure. I don’t know though, comparing other games can catch up. I thought Dayton had a good chance with how last week’s game went between NCC and Newport, especially considering that Newport lost to Ludlow, which was very early in the first week. It’s important to keep the one game at a time focus. Even with saying that, Dayton looked very rough tonight and that’s putting it mildly. I do believe that motivation became a big factor just before halftime.

As I mentioned earlier in the week, NCC strength of schedule was going to be the difference in this one. Breds should make another quarterfinal run.
