Green County will visit Somerset on the district opener for both teams. Each team will be coming off of a loss. The Dragons dropped a heartbreaker at LaRue County 36-35, and are 2-2 on the season. Somerset fell at home against Ironton (OH) 35-9. The Jumpers were in the game with the Tigers but lost Senior quarterback Guy Turner in the 2nd quarter and couldn't generate enough offense to keep pace. They are 3-1. Turner's injury should not be long-term, but his status for this week is unknown. If Turner can't go Somerset could go with Sophomore Chase Crawford and stick with their normal offense, or turn to Swiss Army Knife Xavier Wooldridge and go with more if a wildcat look. Somerset should be the favorite but the uncertainty at quarterback we've the distractions that come with homecoming week at Somerset (float building, the parade, dance, and other activities) could make this a trap game. Who starts out direct play with a win and why?

I would think this is Somerset biggest test in the district. I thought Crawford looked fine for a tough a situation. He gets the ball out pretty quick. I think the Jumpers will bounce back 35-6.

Somerset 42-13.

I was told this morning that Guy will be back at QB this Friday. Somerset by 28

I think Monroe is as good as Green but I don't think it really matters neither can play with the Briarjumpers.

Quick Google search gave a few notes but definitely not all the details.
