Congrats to the Royals. Especially to my buds Chad and Dakota!

This game does not mean a thing. Boyd will win in the districts. Just my opinion.

 

 

Nice post Stinger. Do I detect sour grapes? One thing that IS meaningful about this game is that Rose Hill will be very confident going into the rematch in the districts. Not a good thing at all for BC.

Any pics from King of the Jungle from the game? I saw it mentioned in an earlier post and I always look forward to seeing pics. Boyd has a nice gym to take pictures in.

IMO this was a very sloppy game by both teams. Almost as sloppy as the guys blowing the whistles.. Several calls both ways were missed. I spoke with Spin Doc about one in particular....The behind the back, two or three or four steps, no dribble from the three point line for a layup.......come on...... :rolleyes: :rolleyes: Great game scoring wise. I look forward to seeing them play again in a couple weeks.... I think the King said Boyd by 2 54-52....not too bad but reversed!!!!LOL

This was a meaningful win for Rose Hill. You can be assured Boyd County wanted it just as much ! While Dakota and Chad were the stars, I agree Malloy and Arthur both had fine good games and made many contributions.

 

I agree Malloy can make the Three's and he needs to take the shots when he is open.

RickyP, as we discussed in another thread somewhere or another. I would call this victory a "signature" win for the young Royals on the season!

The closer we get to tournament time the more the 16th region officals are going to let both teams play. I would like to see them call this way all year long.

 

Selby and Blanton could have been fouled out in the third quarter. They were hammering Euton, all night.

 

The behind the back lay-up by Jackson was not a walk. The tape does not lie.:eek:

It is good to see that some are noticing Malloy. His contributions can be measured in far more than points scored. He is a tough eighth grader who is not intimidated by anyone. I think he played 31 of the 32 minutes.

 

He does need to shoot more. He had a fine "teacher" in Pat McGuire.

What are the odds that if the exact same move was made a year ago by a kid named Owens, it would have been one of the most awesome moves ever made in a high school game? :sssh:

The fouls were RH 7 - BC 8 (for the second half) about midway through the fourth quarter. They didn't get lopsided until BC began to foul intentionally with less than two minutes remaining. BC added at least six new fouls inside of the two minute mark. Overall the officiating for the game was very even. :thumb:
