From Outkick: Caitlin Clark took a fist to the throat during Wednesday's game. No whistle. No foul. She was also shoved to the floor and stepped on. Still nothing from officials. Clark event

The core that made a run to the East Finals managed to stay intact.   Add a, hopefully, healthy Caitlin Clark and the Finals has to be the expectation and anything less would be a disappointment.   Sh

Already figuring out what game me and my daughter will be attending.   If you haven't had a chance to go up for a game, I highly recommend it.   It is a fun time.

Fever have gotten a "tsk, tsk" from the W for not including Clark on the injury report.

https://www.espn.com/wnba/story/_/I'd/48840146/wnba-warns-fever-leaving-caitlin-clark-injury-report

"WNBA teams are required to report player injuries, illnesses and absences -- as well as their participation status -- by 5 p.m. local time the day before all games. The first public indication Clark was dealing with any back concern came 100 minutes before tip of the Fever's 90-73 win over the Fire."

Not sure if that is worded wrong, or I am just misreading it.  But if a game is on Wednesday. 5pm the day before is Tuesday.   It's totally possible for someone to be fine on Tuesday and then wake up Wednesday and be ill, or hurt and in no shape to play.

Indiana 90 Golden State 82

Caitlin Clark leads Indiana with 22 points and 9 assists.  Aliyah Boston adds 20 points and 16 boards as the Fever improve to 4-2 on the season.

Tiffany Hayes led the Valkyries with 19.

Clark did have a flagrant foul.  And she protested a whole bunch that it was even called a foul, lol.

Personally, I think she's still trying to figure out how to play coming off injuries.   She's always been a little boisterous when it comes to fouls and the like (but most are now post LeBron et al in the NBA) and she's not backing down from anyone.

Once she learns to control the frustration coming off being hurt, she will be a bit better at it.  She's always going to be argumentative, but the flagrant fouls, hopefully, go away.

Tonight at half, Fever and the Valkyries are tied at 44.

Caitlin Clark gets her 500th career assist, in just her 59th game.   The fastest ever to 500 assists.

67-65 end of third, Fever.

The picture on Prime is nice.

There are no "moral victories", but Indiana did not play well, at all, and still only lost by a bucket....with a great look to tie it at the end of regulation.   Live and learn.

Portland 100 Indiana 84

No way to sugar coat this one.  Fever flat out got their butts handed to them.

Fire's Megan Gustafson leads all scorers with 22

UofL's Emily Engstler puts in 16 and adds 10 boards

Aliyah Boston leads the Fever with 18

Indiana 83 Atlanta 71

Fever finally had the intensity on the court that they were missing the last 2 games.

Kelsey Mitchell led all scorers with 25.  Aliyah Boston added 19.  Caitlin Clark with 17 points and 8 assists.

Alisha Gray and Jordin Canada both has 13 for the Dream.

New York 83 Indiana 75

Breanna Stewart leads all scorers with 30.

Liberty won this game at the FT line going 33-40 (to Indiana's 9-15)

The W refs need to find a happy medium.  They, rightfully so, caught a lot of flack for allowing rough play last season.   Now they call too many fouls and too many trips to the monitor for potential upgrades.  Let them play, but know when you have to take control.  Killing flow isn't helping anyone.

Indiana 78 Washington 76

Caitlin Clark leads all scorers with 19, including the go ahead 3 with 1 second left.

Exciting ending to a relatively sloppy game.

Michaela Onyenwere leads the Mystics with 17.

This and what a finish!  It was good to see how well all the players were getting along/celebrating.
