Dream had a chance to win at the end of regulation but Angel Reese and Nazz Hillmon both miss point blank layups in the closing seconds.

I watch the whole game, it was exciting and I loved how the Fever finished. It was also nice to see Caitlin talk up McKayla in the post game interview.

Indiana 101 Toronto 95

Kelsey Mitchell leads all scorers with 29 (her league record tying 20th consecutive game with 20+) and Caitlin Clark adds 24 and 7 assists.

Mitchell did not play the fourth quarter as she left the bench and headed to the locker room with a still unknown issue. Hopefully nothing serious. The AC was not working in the arena and the players and commentators mentioned it was extremely hot inside. So maybe just a precaution since they will certainly need Mitchell for the playoff run.

It is the 5th straight win for the Fever and they, for the time being, move into 3rd place in the standings.

Marina Mabrey leads the Tempo with 22.

Last night game marked the 16th time that both Mitchell and Clark have scored 20+ in the same game this season. A new WNBA record for teammates (Diana Taurasi and Cappie Pondexter did it 15 times for Phoenix in the 2008 season.

Article also stated that it was the temperature in the building that caused Indiana to pull Mitchell in the 4th.

Dallas 91 Indiana 85

Outside of Kelsey Mitchell's 37 points (her WNBA record 21st straight game with 20+ points), Indiana was awful offensively tonight.

Not a fun game to watch because, with the exception of a brief spurt in the third quarter, the game had zero flow.

Kelsey Mitchell leads all scorers with 25, her 22nd straight 20+ point game.

Fever lost this one at the foul line, going just 11-22 (Liberty were much better at 24-29)

Due to games played last night (I didn't research to see how it fell) they Fever clinched a playoff spot for the post season.

Part 2 of the back to back tomorrow at Chicago, then a little break before a home game against Connecticut on Friday. That will be the last game before the FIBA World Cup in Germany (Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston are on the roster for Team USA)

Caitlin Clark goes for 37 (and 10 assists) to lead all scorers. Kelsey Mitchell adds 30. Indiana played without Aliyah Boston.

Fever set a franchise record with 18 made threes in the game.

Chicago was lead by Natasha Cloud's 16.

Indiana 111 Connecticut 91

Caitlin Clark scores 34 and dishes out 12 assists for the Fever. Kelsey Mitchell also pours in 34 for Indiana.

Connecticut started the game hot and took the early lead in the first, but Indiana dominated the remainder of the game.

Sun were led by Diamond Miller's 19.

19th game that Indiana has topped the century mark this season. Most in a season in W history. This also marked the 4th game this season that Clark and Mitchell have both scored 30+ in the same game.

Now is the FIBA World Cup break. Next Fever game is September 18, at Toronto.

With last night's 34 points, Kelsey Mitchell is now sitting at 1001 points for the season. Only the second player in WNBA history to score 1000 points in a single season (A'ja Wilson scored 1021 points in 2024.)

If she keeps her current averages, Kelsey will be the new record holder after Indiana's first post break game.

With her 34 point 12 assist game on Friday, Caitlin Clark now has five 30 point 10 assist games this season (6 for her career.) Over the 30 years of WNBA basketball the rest of the league has only had 4 such games.

Indiana 103 Toronto 85

Kelsey Mitchell scores 33 (breaking the single season record for most points) as the Fever move into a tie for 4th place (and home court advantage in the playoffs opening round) with Atlanta.

Caitlin Clark added 28 points and 14 assists in the win.

It gets tough for the Fever to close out the season. Washington at home on Sunday (Indiana is ahead of them in the standings, but has struggled against the Mystics this season.). They then close out with a home game against the best team in the W, Minnesota, to be followed up by a road game against Minnesota. Should be an exciting week.
