Making a goal of knocking out 25 books this year. It helps me stay off my phone. Hoping this thread will keep me accountable!

I mentioned I wrapped up The Nineties by Chuck Klostermann a couple weeks ago. Since then, on vacation last week, I read A Perfect Stranger by Megan Miranda (it sucked) and just a few minutes ago knocked out His & Hers by Alice Feeney (loved it). The latter is a recently released Netflix show, so I plan to watch it now; though, not sure how it can be replicated on-screen.

I've always loved to read but as I've gotten older, what you said is one of my driving factors. When I spend 30 minutes on my phone, I often have nothing to show for it. Reading seems like a much better use of time.

Polished off this one this morning. If you come across it at your local library… you can keep walking. Not my favorite read.

I haven't loved his last couple of books but this one was really good.

It was very good. The term "shackled to a corpse" was how Germany and Austria always referred to their alliance with the Ottoman Empire, but the book argues Austria-Hungary was a bigger corpse that any other. Essentially they tried to fight World War I like it was still the 1860s and failed miserably.
