This was recommended by Matt Jones on KSR a few weeks ago and it was well worth the read. I've always been fascinated by North Korea and if you're the same, I'd highly encourage you to read it.

My goal is one per week, and because of my job that is sometimes easier and sometimes harder. As for what I read, I'm in the process of reading a book about each professional baseball season (I'm at 1903 right now so a ways to go!) but beyond that I just pick up what looks interesting. I do keep a running list on Amazon, although I rarely buy books. If I come across something that looks interesting, I put it on the Amazon list then have my local library either get it or do an Inter-Library Loan where they check it out from another library.

Big recommendation for this one. As some of you know, my goal is to read one book about each season in Major League Baseball history. This was about the 1903 World Series, the first ever, between Boston and Pittsburgh. More specifically, though, it was about Protestant and Catholic Boston; Irish, Italian, German, and Jewish immigrants in both cities; coal mining in Pennsylvania. Its probably the best I've read to this point.
