  • Everyone, this gives you some idea about what I see "working" the games all year.

  • For the record, I have put my bridesmaid dress in storage.  So, I expect this day to be all about the Rams this time.

  • Raceland running east and west and KCD all over that like flies on baked beans on the 4th of July.

114 left, 2nd and ten on the 48.

3rd and 10 after a pass that wasn't close.

4th and 1 for Raceland on the 39, clock ticking.

I don't think he got it.

What a stop by KCD!

Raceland is short on the QB keeper, KCD to take over.

YES!   Much needed 5 contest points!

Runner-up four years in a row for Raceland?

That's TOUGH.

This one's pretty much done.

Raceland burned their final timeout with 23 seconds left to play.

Kentucky Country Day 20 Raceland 16

Final.

Raceland received the opening kickoff and punted.  Kentucky Country Day punted right back and Raceland started on the 1 after the punt but punted right back to KCD.  The Bearcats started on the Raceland 49 and the first quarter ended 0-0 with KCD driving.

Kentucky Country Day started the 2nd quarter off moving the ball down the field on some tough runs by Deion Davidson and with 1028 left in the first half Caden Long got the ball across the goal line to put the Bearcats up 7-0.  Raceland received the kickoff and drove the length of the field and kicked a FG as time ran out to make it 7-3, KCD at the half.

KCD received the second half kickoff and moved the ball some before a perfect Caden Long pass and an incredible Miller Bates catch set the Bearcats up at the one yard line of Raceland.  Two plays later Parker Rudolph ran it in to put Kentucky Country Day up 14-3 with 912 left in the 3rd quarter.  Both teams went three and out and then Raceland took over on their own 19 yard line. The Rams mixed passes and runs to and scored on a Jacob Waller to Parker Ison TD pass to make it 14-10 KCD with 147 left in the 3rd.

In the third quarter Raceland forced another three and out and took over on their own 20 after a KCD punt.  The Rams lined up and started running the ball right at KCD culminating in Landen Stiltner TD run.  The extra point hit the right upright to make it 16 to 14 Raceland midway through the 4th quarter.

KCD's Tyler Wilson returned the kickoff to Bearcat 48 and then Deion Davidson came down with a huge catch at the Raceland 23 yard line.  Two plays later Davidson broke a tackle and ran it in to put Kentucky Country Day up 20-16 with 330 left in the game.  The two point conversion failed.  The Rams started their next drive on the 12 yard line and mixed passes and runs advancing to the Kentucky Country Day 39 where KCD stopped Raceland on 4th and short with 39 seconds left to play.

Congrats Kentucky Country Day!  Congrats Coach Jones.
